In Fraunhofer business units or networks departments from different Fraunhofer institutes cooperate in order to provide best solutions for customers in their respective field. Through cooperating in the networks, market requirements can be identified at an early stage and technological challenges can be tackled jointly. With a clear focus on applied research, the common goal is to make new developments applicable under industrial conditions and to provide an optimal solution for the respective need. The business units’ central offices are first contacts point for any interested customer.
The cooperation includes marketing and communication measures, project management and preliminary research. In addition to that, some of the Fraunhofer business units offer further training such as seminars, technology days or certification courses, or publications in their respective business field.
