Within the scope of the project, the relevant powder properties and process parameters of the printing, debinding and sintering process are to be identified and subsequently optimized with regard to reproducibility, dimensional accuracy and minimum carbon and oxygen input. The knowledge gained about the process enables the development of a simulation model for sintering with subsequent calibration and validation using determined process data. Based on an accurate shrinkage and distortion prediction, a simulation-based distortion compensation is created by inverting the determined strains, which greatly reduces the effort of experimental geometry adjustment.
